My son's 2009 Tacoma has a bad front end squeak. It's on the passenger side and occurs when you bounce the truck up and down. It also produces the noise when just steering and driving with no suspension cycling.

I have searched extensively on this site but no one's situation seems to match his squeak.

Truck is a Pre-Runner with 6" Maxtrac spindle lift. No noises from front end until a week ago when I had the carrier bearing replaced. No noise immediately leaving shop but I'm wondering if having the truck up on a lift with the suspension at full droop might have caused the problem.

Here is a youtube video that sounds like his squeak.

My first thought would be your UCAs and that sound is actually quite familiar to me.

Perhaps be a little more specific on the components of the lift, spindles will have nothing to do with the noise so offering that up gives us nothing to work with.

I have bilstein 5100 with eibach coils and squeak just like that on passenger front side, Toytec replaced the 5100 and no more squeak, I'm suspecting UCA also but my problem was solved. Check your strut.

Hmmmmm... I've never heard the lower eyelet squeak that bad and I can't see the strut making that much noise either. I suspect the squeak will come to life once again , but I hope I'm wrong because that would suck for you.

At least its good to hear its not doing it now.

Do a nut and bolt check. Tighten everything. Jack that corner up under LCA and shake wheel in every direction. Check for play in UCA/LCA bushings, tie rod, ball joints, rack play, etc etc.

    So its squeaking again?

I thought TT fixed the noise, what now they are selling you on some new struts to fix the noise when its not the struts at all and probably a bushing thing from likely the uppers? :D

    Mr. Salty,

You have me confused with XXFattyHunterXX...

BTW, the guy in the youtube video I posted solved his squeak with a rebuild of his fab-tech coilovers
