If it has a hose clamp on it it's low pressure. Flow is towards the tank/pump.

You do realize the reservior has a built-in filter, right? If for some reason you wish to still add an inline filter, put it in the small hose into the reservior, with the direction of flow being toward the reservoir.

White, debadged, Mudflaps removed, ICON 2.5 in front, 2.0 in rear, all 4 corners have reservoirs, Spidertrax wheel spacers all around, BAMF bolt on sliders, Avid lightbar, oem transmission cooler converted to power steering cooler, aftermarket transmission cooler eliminating all oem transmission cooler stuff, remote mounted spin on transmission fluid filter TrueTrac rear differential, rear diff housing vented and filtered into left side bed box, URD MAF calibrator, Volant intake scoop into oem airbox, second filter removed, airbox internals smoothed, blended and polished throttle body, NST intake manifold spacer, Wet Okolee set covers, WeatherTech Digital Fit mats, inexpensive JVC single DIN, Scangage, AVS Stepshield door sill protectors, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, URD Y pipe with O2 sims.
If you want to keep it simple and effective, use a Magnafine PS filter. I installed mine in the return line, it sits vertical. I picked up two oem spring type hose clamps. Drained the system, cut the hose and removed a section equal to the filters length. Installed and clamped the filter while on the bench, then installed the entire assembly.

FWIW I flushed the system with Mobil 1 ATF prior to installing the filter setup, once installed I completed the service with fluid until full.

The fluid cost more than the filter.
