Just lifted my truck 3 inches and put 285/75/16's on 16x8 wheels with a -10 offset. Been too cold for me to do any trimming yet but the only rubbing I have is at full lock and is very minimal. I'm not planning on much winter wheeling so for now I'll most likely leave it as is. I'll cut some plastic and probably do a cab mount chop this spring but for just driving around town nothing is really needed.

    Good luck!

285/70/17 Duratracs, Stock Wheels, Spidertrax 1.25", Bilstein 5100's set at 2.75".

Ive only modified the front plastic of the fender-well because thats where I was rubbing. I say modified because instead of cutting it, I looped a heavy duty zip tie through one of the little vents in the plastic and pushed it forward towards the bumper and zip tied it to a point up there. So the inner plastic is "pushed" forward and if I ever want to reverse the process I just cut the zip tie and let it come back into place.

With 285/75/16 Duratracs on Fuel Boost rims, I get a little rubbing on the wheel well when at full turn in a slight depression. (aka, mall speed bumps turning a corner). I don't drive in the dunes or crawl the Rubicon, but haul firewood, hunt, and drive endless miles of forest service roads. This is with a spacer lift less than a full 3". It really depends on what you do and your wheel offset.

285/75/16 KM2's. Billies @ 2.5" with stock Sport coils. Fj Anthracites 4.5" BS. No CMC and no trimming, only removed the front air dam from the front of the front wheel well. It rubbed every once in a while with the truck at full lock in reverse.

285/75/16 on ProComp 7032's with a 4.5" BS. The lift is just bilstein 5100's set at .85, Eibach coils, and LR UCA's. Did the CMC and was good with stock O/R wheels but I knew I wanted to run spindles at some point and those don't work with the stock wheels at 5.5" BS so I got the procomps and had to trim the plastic a lot. Only took a few minutes with the dremel. It's a process, everytime I wheel I keep finding out that I need to trim a little more, lol. But it hasn't been anything to drastic, it's mainly in reverse at full lock.

See my specs to the left and the pic in my sig, stock offroad wheels. Just had minor trimming to do in the front wheel wells, but I also pushed some stuff forward and secured it with a zip tye like somebody else above. Will consider a CMC if I start wheeling more, but for now I don't need it.

I am running 4" spindles and Icon coilovers for a total of about 5" of lift. 285/70/17 on 17x8.5 4.5"bs wheels. I did the cmc and a lot of trimming. Still have some rubbing off road, but its minimal. The top of the tire also hit the fender flairs and brake the clips when i was just running the coilovers. I used to keep a bag of fender clips in the truck. I luckily never blew off the flairs like some guys. The 05-11's require more trimming do to the different bumper design.

I forgot to mention I want my own setup to be street use with very mild off road use. That will probably make a difference to the poll
