    I don't know what the heck could mechanically go wrong that quick on a 2014

    Maybe a vacuum line got knocked loose/off?!

    Sounds like a transmission valve body issue, maybe some solenoids are bad already.

    If it's cold it won't shift into drive until the engine gets to a certain temp, which is around 120/130 range. This normal...

    Ok when u bring it in and it's doing it do not shut it off. Ask someone to go for a drive. They should throw the scan tool on it and see wants up.
    Shutting it off may mask a hint to what's up.
    Good luck

    well keep us updated on what the dealership finds out.

    You could go to AutoZone and have them check codes...sometimes a transmission issue will throw a error code in the ECU. Unsure if you can have their diagnostic tool check error codes in the TCM, but you could ask.

    When your driving does the gearshift still display "D" mode or the gears and your transmission shifts through them or is it blank? is there a wrench icon displayed in that location?

    My friend and I went wheeling one day;
    On the drive home, he couldn't get into 3rd; just like you said: wound it right out - refused to upshift

    Got home and got under the truck... vacuum line got knocked off
    This was an old Cheyenne with a Turbo 300... but, same thing may apply

    Don't let anyone else touch it. Don't read codes, don't pull battery.
    Some generic code readers have cleared codes and or info simply just by using them. It's new. Let the dealer handle it

    Modern transmissions are electronic.
    There are no vacuum lines running to them anymore.
    It is either an internal hydraulic problem or a software glitch.
