LB to SB conversion?

found a truck that has everything I want except for the short bed. If I found someone that wanted to trade is it possible to do a swap?
I know its probably a newb question so thanks to anyone who responds!

Why not just keep the long bed and have a more functional, capable, and better looking vehicle?

With enough time and money, anything is possible but it would require a frame chop to do it.

 

Maybe he wants a more proportional looking truck... maybe he doesn't want a trail limo... Maybe the whole extra 12 inches of bed space isn't required... or maybe he prefers the look of the SB...

 

buy the long bed, love having a functional bed, then get a 3" or 6" lift and bigger tires to get a better look (DCLB looks weird without a lift and tires IMO) and when you realize you made the right choice come back to this thread and thank us.

Lol that does look silly, reminds me of a dually. Access Cab is the same wheel base as a DCSB, so yea probably would look better.

To have the "negatives" of the short bed with none of the "positives" from the shorter wheelbase?
That said, it would have great weight distribution for towing.
