So I'm just wondering if I've got the 8 year warranty in my truck, will I be covered?

Depends on the mileage. I had the Gold warranty, it was covered at 80k-ish.

What I'm guessing here is... He want's to know IF he has/buys 8 yr warranty, will it cover a shot rear diff. Read your warranty, your the only one who knows what if say's.
We don't have it to read.

I'm at 50 thousand miles. The truck has always been serviced by Toyota. I've got 255/75/17's. It's a TRD Sport with stock gears. When I put it in drive the truck will not move. At first I thought my transmission might be messed up but I can drive if I'm in 4hi. After looking at it for a short moment, it looks like to me that rear end is messed up. I've never done any crazy off roading or anything.

Well it's either or rear diff, or transfer case. What you could do to check rear diff, is jack up back and spin your wheels. Also check by turning drive shaft.

I had to put it in 4Hi, just to get it back down my friend's driveway. Do I think the transfer case is working. The only thing I'm worried about is Toyota giving me shit about my after market suspension, which is the toytec ultimate kit with Dakar Jeff packs.

Hard to tell until you check things out. If you want to yourself, or not. Like I said earlier jack up and check diff out.

As for Toyota, they could give you some shit, and may could not. You did mention all service has been done by Toyota, so they know your truck, right?

My check engine light is on and my lsd malfunction light is on. I can drive in reverse, problem solved..lol they should know my truck and how it's set up. I've had it set up like this since 10 thousand miles.

That's good... Brakes control the LSD, so it sounds like it locking one of your rear drums, which won't let you drive forward, but in reverse. Just like E- brake would.
Try disconnecting battery for a bit and see if clears system malfunction.

The lift won't void your warranty. They have to prove it made the truck in drivable.

That's pretty much all I'm worried about.

I hate the traction control on my truck, I've always had problems with it.

The outcome, I'm buying a Chevy...lol. Just joking. I'm hoping it's just the stupid traction control. I find it hard to believe that I would have messed the gears up.

NOOOOOO.... Not GM junk....lol Ford/non ecoboost, or Dodge....

I'm betting that is your problem... Could be a simple recalibrating system.

Good luck, let us know outcome.
