I left my new synthetic oil sitting in the back of my truck last night. It got down in the teens. Planning t I change the oil this morning when I get back from running errands so the truck will be warm. It is ok to put cold oil in a warm engine?

In other news I left my garage door open and I think I froze my water heater...

You'll be fine - it'll just take a few seconds longer to pour in the new oil. Put the new oil in the house while your out, if you're worried.

Yeah the heater made it. And I wasn't able to do the oil change this morning anyway but I put the oil inside so it'll be normal temp later when I have time.

Haha. I wasn't going to point that out. It was still a good read though.
