I'm looking into getting a 2010 Tacoma. The description shows a picture of what looks to be a subwoofer, but there is no info on it on the dealers site. I asked a guy on the phone and he didn't know (rookie salesman?) I attached a picture.

Can you confirm if this is the subwoofer and does anyone have experience in it's sound quality?

    Cheers,
    Z

Factory jbl system subwoofer...not the best in the world...aftermarket is better.

Rookie salesman, or senior salesman...most don't know what they're selling beyond the fact that it's a Tacoma or a Camry...

I've got a 2010 with it and it's not the best but I like it and it's enough for me. Usually have the base set at 0.

Thanks for the response everyone. @Burgy does this system have bluetooth as well then? Or is it just the upgraded speaker system? I'm used to my stock tacoma system and I am happy with that to be honest, so I'm sure this would be an upgrade regardless.

I have/had the flux capactor in my 09. IMHO it sounds like sh!t. Very loose sloppy bass, not clean or tight. I actually took it out 6 months into ownership to make more room in the access cab since I didn't like the sound anyway.
The stock stereo system is pretty bad in general. One of these days I'm gonna replace the whole setup. Even without the factory sub there is too much low quality bass even with it set all the way down. Depending on what kind of music you like anyway. Rock seems to be livable, however if you like hip hop or modern raggae it's crap.

If you are considering adding a sub, do yourself a favor and go aftermarket.
