I've been seeing a couple of threads pop up concerning warranties and extended warranties etc.
I'm approaching 25k on my 13. I've started to wonder if purchasing and extended warranty would be worth it. While up at the dealership, I mentioned it to the service manager, he brought to my attention the "VALVOLINE PROFESSIONAL SERIES (VPS) SERVICE PLUS PROGRAM".
The link I found has the same info as the info I recieved from dealership.

Who has purchased this or what is your thoughts? Good deal, not worth or??

I personally think you should just make sure you stay on the factory maintenance schedule and don't steer away from that. There is no reason to get on the Valvoline plan and not all those services are recommended by Toyota. An example that I have always done is every 30k miles just replace all the fluids (transmission, motor oil, differentials, trans case,... etc) and just drive the truck till the wheels fall off. This is of course changing the oil every 5k miles also.

If you're going to pay anyone to do your maintenance the dealership is the way to go IMHO.

It's not so much that I'm looking to have the dealership do all of my maintenance. But the VPS is sort of like a warranty in a way.

Here's the thing about it, the way it was described to me. In a quick summary.

If you choose to buy the VPS.. If say your transmission goes bad, then they will pay up to whatever max amount of the particular plan you decided on purschasing, and could cover all cost, meaning if you ended up having to get a new trans, it could cover the whole cost. So you would get would get a replaced trans for no extra cost other than what you paid to get the VPS.

If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.
That's why I started the thread, to try and learn more from people who might have it or know more.
