    8k miles on odometer.

2.5 lift front and 1.5 back with nitto trail grapplers on 255/75r17

Averaging 15 MPG, 80 percent highway and 20 city.

I knew the tires would kill MPG a little but to 15 with highway driving? (Drove about 70-71mph through I80, few hills)

    ???

Almost sounds about right if maybe a little back words with the city / hi-way numbers...if I'm reading it correctly.

Sounds about right for a lifted Tacoma. I get the same.

    Can't answer for others brother.

My truck is stock & I baby it big time. Never speed & Mississippi is pretty flat. My truck almost never sees more than 2,500 RPM. This time of year I'm lucky if I get 18.5mpg. Warmer months, for whatever reason, I may average 20mpg. My driving is 95%+ interstate at 70mph, I work nights and most times never need to touch the gas or brake during my 55 mile in each direction of interstate for work (I'm not dicking with the throttle). My tire pressures are set at factory ect... Everything is maintained per Toyota.

I can say, in my truck, that slowing to around 65mph makes a noticeable difference.

As far as the lift I would expect some decrease but can't say how much. While I owned this one I also had a 2010 SC, 4x4, 4 banger, manny tranny when I installed 265/75r16s it's milage was less than this V6. It's milage dropped with the larger, heavier tires (and I'm sure changing the "final drive" ratio didn't help).

Warm weather, stock P-metric tires, highway driving, slow speeds. Go to fuelly.com, and look for trucks with 100+ fuel ups, this will give you a good idea of what people are getting.

I've seen way too many "I clicked the odometer and 61 miles later under steady throttle got 23mpg". Complete tanks of fuel, preferably spread over a longish time period are definitely the best...

I have a 6" front lift and 4" rear lift with 33" tires and average 13-15 depending on city/highway. I would say that is pretty normal.

I hear of a mod you can do to boost for MPG up to 27-30. just search Camry mod.

Sounds right for your tires, lift and speed... looking good is expensive. If you drop it down to 65mph you'll see an mpg jump (probably 1-2mpg).

Same here. I'm ~15mpg once adjusted for odometer correction. Without correcting for tire size, it shows 13-14.

    they dont.

the issue with your bad mpg is you bought a truck, lifted it, put big wheels on it, and expect to get good mileage.

    Wheel size won't effect mpg

They leave the truck stock and are not heavy on the gas. I had a three inch dealer lift installed at purchase, everything else stock, and I average between 22 and 24 MPG using Conoco pure gas 89 octane. I only use 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6 gears unless towing or hauling heavy loads, shifting at 1500 rpm and keep the rpm around 2000.

Yes it will. The added weight and the difference in friction patch will change MPG as well different tire compounds will add to change.

Uh, mine is an Off-Road v6 (no lift, though) and averaging right around 22. Also have Firestone Destination A/T's, but other than that its stock.

OZ, if the bigger tires or wheels weigh more it takes more power to run them. If the tires are bigger more tire is in contact with the road causing more friction which also uses more power causing lower MPG. Third but not least tire compound and configuration will either lower or raise MPG.
