Interested in hearing from you folks that have used FF as an undercoat year after year and whether you are having success and/or meeting your expectations. I will post pics soon of my 2012-so far I'm pretty impressed how it handled spring and summer and especially winter-considering how much salt NW New Jersey throws down.....

An alternative to FF is the much less expensive Tompson's Water Seal.

When I bought my truck, I poured some in a paint sprayer and coated everything underneath for it's one time application.... The undercarriage looks like it's a month old from the day it was born and doesn't attract dirt.

Water beads off off the frame and components like rain on a freshly waxed paintjob.

Fluid film is some awesome stuff. I used 3 spray cans on my frame, inside and out. It was still on there protecting 2 years later. It repels water and never really washed off. I will use it from here on out. The nice thing about it is you can spray anything underneath. It lubricates and protects rubber bushings, protects paint and plastic, and is clear coat safe.

It's working so far for my 13 after 1 application. We're taking a beating here in the midwest. I obviously didnt apply it to the exhaust and its already exhibiting light surface rust, though none anyplace else.

I've used it as well and looks to be doing a good job. I live on gravel roads and it is very dirty and also appears to already be gone in a few spots after only about a month. It mostly seems to be gone on the outside of the frame right under the doors, everywhere else seems to be holding up really good and I plan on continuing to use it. I don't really care if my frame gets dirty.

Actually fluid film directly said you can spray exhaust systems. Above 405 F it melts off, but it is safe on exhaust pipes.

FF....is great shit for sure...it stays in place...great around door plate sills where i have found salt likes to hang out...just pry up the sill with a flathead screwdriver and spray a good amount under the sill and let it weep out ..keeps the rust away very well.

My 2005 Jeep Wrangler's frame and fenders still look like new, which is pretty impressive for New Hampshire. Most other jeeps of that vintage have bubbly fenders and tender frames around the rear axle.
This is usually the worst spot on wrangler frames in salty areas... The frame hasn't been touched up at all, just treated yearly with fluid film. Don't mind the road grime, the weather up here is miserable today.

Like everyone else says, it's superior. I looked at my frame at least once a week to see how it's holding up. Under the cab frame rails still look fresh. Frame as it runs through the wheel wells is dirty, but nice and dark with no rust. Salt residue that ordinarily would be white there, I can't even see it now. FF customer for life.

I did mine a month or so ago and it seems to be holding up quite well. Did the bottom of my wife's Venza too. I bought a kit on ebay for like $99 shipped that was 2 gallon cans, a spray can, and an undercoating gun. After doing both I still have enough in the gallon can to do my truck again. Only thing I didn't care for was the smell but it does go away after some grime sticks to it.

Sprayed the entire underside of my truck. It sticks like glue and has kept the heavy road salt from sitting on my frame (and everything else under the truck). I've used high pressure spray washers on it a number of times and it still repels water (just washed it again this morning). Top quality stuff!

This thread is awesome. Don't even have a Tacoma and had to join in on the convo when I saw how many Jeep people are here.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I'm curious if anyone has experience spraying this in areas where there is clear coat, like in door jams, tailgate seams etc. Is there any issue putting this on a new vehicle in areas with clear coat? As you other Wrangler owners know, those are huge places for rust.
