I would. Make sure you format it to Fat32 and leave it in the root file, not in a sub-folder. I think I got that right:)

I'll try it tomorrow but yeah, fat32 and in the root directory for sure to get it to work.

Put the thumb drive in your computer, right click on it, select format and one of the options should be fat32

    Things I need to tow.

The TSB says this one is for the 2012-2013 Tacoma. I Don't think it will work on the 2014. (I have a 2014 and the Setup and Software Information screens are significantly different.)

When I click the link it just takes me to the main toyotanation page. It's not working for me either. You might have a cookie or something that is helping just your browser find that link.

I got the files now.....i'll install them once I've had some coffee. I'm not having any issues, just interested to see what has changed.

There are 8 "units" that get updated; you can see these on the screen as the update is progressing. I did not note them but you can see them in the text file.

    • Head unit does not display incoming iPhone® iOS 6 text message sender ID
    • Head unit does not fully display incoming iPhone® iOS 6 text messages which include carriage
    returns (line breaks)
2012 – 2014 model year vehicles equipped with a Display Audio Navigation System (Non-HDD) and
Entune (version less than 3.1.0) may exhibit one or more of the following conditions:
    • Turn-by-turn guidance is not given when routing through unverified roads (“In Process Map
Data” message displays in turn list)
    • Call volume through speakers is very loud upon first-time phone pairing (for Highlander, Tacoma,
    and Venza vehicles with JBL)

Yeah, I haven't really noticed any of those issues other than my radio will randomly auto connect to my phone's music when I start the truck. That's the only issue out of those that I've had.

Installed just fine from the files on Toyotanation. No visual changes at all, kind of disappointing. Was hoping for a refresh on the looks of the software. Guess it's all just internals.

Toyota could have done such a better job on the GUI of the Entune for really not much more expense. I say down the other day to read the Entune manual that came with my truck. 95% of what it showed and explained how to do was not even available or like our unit.

I have been considering getting a new 4Runner. I'm gonna go to the dealer this week and see what all the differences are with that system than ours.
