Is there such an update for 2013 non entune systems (with touchscreen) Autoplay is killing me. Plug in iphone to usb and make a call and the music starts playing over my conversation. Does the same on bluetooth. So annoying. While on a call I have to go on my iphone and pause music. Basically whenever I connect via boothtooth or usb auto-play starts my playlist and doesn't stop even phone a call.

That seems weird. my 2013 non-Entune works fine with bluetooth/phone calls. The music stops when a call comes through, once I hang up the phone via the touch screen it comes back on.

I should clarify. 99% I'm plugged into usb or blue-tooth streaming Sirius radio. When a call is made the Sirius stops (which is good) to take/make the call then the auto-play kicks in and begins playing over conversation. If I'm just listening to the radio or a cd all works fine.

Ah ok, I don't have Sirius at all in my setup. That seems to be the difference

So this update is for Entune with NAV only, correct? My 2014 Entune plus has no updates? I do see a grid where it shows updates loaded which is currently blank. I can say that my XM reception sucks and the Bluetooth is quirky is why I would be interested.

The Entune on my new Baja that I've had for all of 400 miles does the same thing. The audio/nav freezes constantly, and either reboots or has to be manually rebooted at least once every time i drive the vehicle . Much of the time, the map never loads and everything just hangs until I reboot. I am not impressed thus far. I called Toyota today, and was told the make an appointment with the dealership to have the software updated. I do want the dealership to address this issue first, before I start tinker with it.

I use Entune with a jailbroken iPhone 5s, and have bluetooth music deactivated as i have an old iPod classic with my complete music collection hooked up via the USB and don't use my iPhone to stream. I did figure out that to turn on messages, you need to go into the bluetooth settings on the iPhone, and in the Toyota bluetooth settings (open by tapping small "i") turn on "show notifications." However, I'm still not sure it's working correctly.

I do wish there was an option to use Siri rather than the Toyota voice activation software. When I try to use entune voice control, the voice control takes a while to initialize, and then often ends up causing entune to hang.

I would like to see entune work better with Waze too, but that is a different issue.

My dealership updated the software today. The system had hung and rebooted 5 times in 30 miles of driving earlier in the day. The update seems to have fixed the issue. I'm crossing my fingers.

Have version 3.2.0 updated by dealer today when they replaced my 'extension module'. I had the dis colored bands on various screens and dis colored nav. This fixed the screen discoloration and distortion but i still get random reboots and failure to connect to internet via Bluetooth or USB after setting everything back up. iPhone 4s. Had no problems for over a year until 3 weeks ago and no changes to anything for months.

So the 3.2 update and extension module (with extension box menu reset) maybe solved the reboot problem for me. Edit: or the internet connection issues...im starting to think it stems from this in some fashion.

    Few helpful links..
    Bluetooth wireless data tether...
    http://www.hanselman.com/blog/HOWTOFIXToyotaEntune201UpdateBreaksInternetTetheringOverBluetooth.aspx

Extension box reset...careful, caution...i was able to get to this menu..setup, general, down arrow, volume settings...very interesting stuff
    http://priuschat.com/threads/entune...w-entune-function-do-at-your-own-risk.126230/

Edit again: All seems to be working fine this morning since doing the extension box reset within the hidden factory service menu and repairing phone from scratch.

Does anyone have the 3.2 software version TSB number?. My dealer is being a pain in the ass about the update.

One of these is the last TSB for the Entune I can find. The other TSB mostly explains the process of updating the Entune in 2014 models. I like the fact that Toyota used Panasonic for the 2014 models. Should work much better as Panasonic does things right!

Does anyone have the file so we can manually update ourselves? I have a 2014 entune in my 2012....pretty sure dealership won't update since it is non standard.

I did the update on my 2013 and one new thing I noticed that I like a lot is that it doesn't automatically switch to playing the ipod when I plug my phone in. That used to bug the crap out of me.

Received updated information from Toyota on upgrade package:

    Dear Mr. Buckley,

Thank you for contacting Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.

I apologize for your concern regarding the Display Audio (DA) with Navigation and Entune® in your Tacoma.

The most current version of Entune® is 3.2; it's free and is installed on your head unit by your dealership, who may at their option charge a service charge.

Once you update to 3.2 at the dealership, you can sign out on your phone and sign back in, which should update your phone.

Or, you can remove the Entune® App from your phone and add it again.

Toyota values you as a customer, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concern. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us at http://www.toyota.com/support/contact.html

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters.

    Sincerely,

    James F.

This is what I'm wondering. How come the 3.1 version is everywhere but I can't find the 3.2 to save my life?

I can't find the 3.2 either. Went to the dealer and they updated to the 3.1. Guess they didn't have the 3.2. Amazing.
