    technically if you got the tow package, the truck should of come with a 7pin to 4 pin converter.

    $7 at walmart, mine has the tow and didn't come with one.

    Pretty common for the truck to not come with one. A few members have gone back with no luck and searched other new trucks on the lot which also did not come with the adapter even though it had the tow package and stated it comes with it.

    Other members have received them.

    Who knows where they end up or if not placed in vehicle from factory.

    Aftermarket adapters a kinda nice since some models have LED lights on them to verify the unit is making contact correctly for all functions, turn, brake and running lights.

    Yes, mine has the built in test lights. Could save a little time with a test light if you're trailer lights are acting up.

    says right on the slip of each taco with the tow package... "converter" mine didnt come with one but i will be leaving the dealer with one the next time i am there.

    mine never had a tow hitch so i bought it and installed the hitch but no wireing. so i need to buy it dont know if i can wire it up does anybody have any ideas.

    2005 was not fitted with a cabin air filter from the factory...no 2005 Tacoma was, look it up...
