That sucks man. Keep on the VA otherwise they'll try to screw you. Personally I would payoff the truck and then save that payment money for the mods.

Would be the best thing. That way you can position yourself in a positive way while entering civilian life. The VA will take its time before paying you and if you use the GI bill that will take some time too.

if you gonna use as everyday driver keep roughly same size tires (for ride comfort and gas) BFG all-terrain would be good if you REALLY want to change tires, i would stay with one of the stock versions of toyota rims (15 to 20 inch) for the weight issue, get about 2.5in lift, (if you go 3in thereis a possibilty of ride and alignment issues, before anyone bitches i said possiblity and the extra 1/2in is not worth it!) get some good chains, the ones made for off-road NOT the cable snow ones, WESTIN BULLBAR, i mean a real 'kangaroo killer, not a flimsy sho bar, one that can hit a tree and laugh at it (LOL), some GOOD STEEL side bars (nurf bars), if you go deep in to country for days at a time a couple of PURE/TRUE SINE WAVE inverters MUST BE TRUE SINE WAVE not modified sine so you can run real equipment and electronics, roof rack either oem or aftermarket they about the same just need to hold gas cans and gear. for at night get some REAL dual bulb HID lights and a couple of HID 'KC' style 6" lights

if you just interest in mud, this comes in EXTREMELY HANDY also have a fire extinguisher charged with water, cleans windows really nice soyou can see stuff :)

not sure what you want to do with it everyday, but i did my prerunner to be ableto run theinterstate at high speed and also beable to travel though a good bit of off-road situations, not like 4 foot deep mud bogs or 60deg slick hill climbs, but for what you need to do and would want todo for your semi-average off-roader/camper does pretty well :)

    cheers,

You just don't get it , do you? You've been told to stop promoting your "I do what I want" driving style, laws be damned. Insulting cops won't end well form you either.

And the simple fact is...You aren't a safe driver...You are a lucky and about as dangerous as they come. The reason you have more "safety equipment" than cops is because they don't pull the stupid human tricks you do.
And any person who declares them self a safer driver than everyone else and thinks that laws don't apply to them because of some toys they've installed on their truck is living in an imaginary world.

These statements really call your credability into question. I also have to wonder if you ever feel like people give you a hard time and then wonder why when you make these statements.

    This man speaks the truth.
