I am planning to do a 3" lift. Saw an Pro Comp 3" lift for 500 buck.

Read around and saw people are going with the Bilstein 5100.

If I go front and back with 5100 how much lift can I get max out of them and do I need any more parts add into it to make it an complete kit.

Just like an 2-3" lift kit so I can add bigger tires. Pretty new at this.

5100s are maxed out at 2.5 inches. You would also need an aal, extended shocks, and some new u bolts for the rear. Those who don't want to preload the coils will often pair the 5100s (set at 0) with some OME 885 coils for more lift and a less harsh ride.

    Bilstein 5100’s (x4), 275/65/20 Cooper XLT AT3’s
Billies will get you 2.5" up front. You'll need billies for the rear (no lift) plus an add-a-leaf (AAL)

With stock wheels you can go 265/75/16 or 165/70/17. Any bigger and you run into rubbing issues or getting new UCAs.

You can go just billies but that will give you a rougher ride as you are compressing the stock springs to add the lift. IMO, you need to go with lifting springs and shocks.

Tons of reading on the forum. Go to the suspension forum and you can get a lot of info.

@PCHearn, man that look sick and nice!

I think its time to start reading more into it. Might get the 3" from pro comp for the mean time. Not sure yet.

I had the same thoughts as you when I first started looking at this forum. I ended up going with a nicer setup and getting 2.5" Icon Extended Travel Coilovers, with 2.0" Icon shocks in the back then purchased an Icon Add A Leaf as well to beef up my springs in the back. The front c/o's are adjustable so ultimately I was able to get a 3" lift all around.

I've been impressed with the setup, ended up removing my sway bar because the springs worked so well (which was basically a piece of metal that connected my front two tires for added stability if you're not aware) and love the way my truck drives and the ride height now.

A lot of the guys out here in AZ run Icons. I was able to fit 285/70/17 tires (Toyo AT2's) although they do rub against the inside of the wheel wells at times; I've gotten used to it and will eventually cut away some to reduce that.

Good luck in your research, just keep searching the forums - endless information
