I have a 2013 Tacoma dbl cab. When it's cold in the mornings, I turn on the heater and fan and use it on recirc air to keep the heat in the cab. After (exactly!) three minutes, it automatically switches to outside/COLD air. It seems to be set on some sort of timer.
I would love to disable this timer if possible so I can manually switch from outside to inside air.

    thanks

I had this problem a while ago and i was very confused. It will do that automatically when the outside temp is below 50 if i remember correctly.

To turn it off, hold the recirc button for 3 seconds.

Yeah it does switch to outside air automatically, I can't remember why. You can disable it, but it's only per key cycle IIRC. There's info on it in your owners manual on the specifics though.

Well there's always 20% outside air entering the cab(by law, to introduce oxygen into the cab).

So you put it on recirc. And after 180 seconds, the light on the button goes out?
