Overheads temp/console experts....question

Is this the sending unit? I have a 2011 SR5 with no overhead console. Looking to get one. I was gonna order the sending unit but it looks like I have it already? Is this common?

Yes it is. I also have a 2011 that did not come with the temp display/compass, but it was pre wired for it....the plug is there above the garage door pocket. I bought the temp/compass display and plugged it in and it worked.

 

How much did you pay for your temp\compass display and would you happen to know if one out of a 2005-2008 will work in a 2010? I see one on Craigslist for $90 but don't want to buy it if its not going to work.
