Any dual battery installs in the 2.7 ltr?
Hey Guys,
Looking to start my dual battery install into our Tacoma. Wondering if anyone has done it in the 4 cylinder engine bay? The V6 has a pretty decent amount of space under the hood to fit a second battery. Doesn't seem like our 4 cylinder has quite the space. I would like to install it without moving too many of the components around. If anyone is interested you can check out my FJ Cruiser dual battery install here. Bob

I saw the title and I was coming here to mention how I know people have done it in an FJ.
I have been thinking about doing it for my V6. I'd like to have a deep cycle so that I can use an inverter while camping. Why are you using an extra battery?

Same reason. Like to be able to run our Engel fridge while we are camped and not kill the starting battery.

I'm in the same boat as you. i have the TRD so i have the inverter but i dont want to kill my battery. I would love to have an extra deep cycle in the engine bay but i have no idea how to that. If anyone does it for the V6 could you take pics and make it a DIY thread? i would love to do that to my truck.

I believe the engine layout is pretty much the same. Link
