Dumb question....Should the cabin air filter arrow be pointing up or down? I'm assuming down, just want to make sure before I re-install the glove box.

    It's a Microgard filter.

The side with the pleats or ridges should be up toward the top of the dash to filter the debris out and the smooth side down.

Arrow points the directions of air flow. Down into the truck.

I just took mine out and blew the debris off it. What is the black and yellow doohicky on the side of the glove box? I do not remember it on my 2009. I will just clean mine as long as it is cleanable. I checked AutoZone for my '09 and they were not much less than the dealer. I think I will make my own when time comes. Last time I had my oil changed I told the service writer ahead of time not to wasted time bringing me the filter unless it is covered under 25k maint. program.
