I thought from your original post that I couldn't put Velcro under the holders. What the discussion was about the cup holders sticking to the cup or ... and pulling out.

Problem with those adjustable cup holders they don't last I have replaced them twice already My truck is a 09. Once through warranty and the other I had to shell out $47

Velcro'd mine in. No issues. End up using the passenger seat for big bottles.

I just pull one of the 12+ inserts out and a Nalgene bottle fits perfectly, nice and snug next to the remaining insert.

OK, I'm really confused. The "old style" is the adjustable and the new are the non-adjust? I'm also not understanding who thinks which are better? I have the adjustable ones and they work just fine, never had any issue at all with them holding anything I've put in them.

Old style adjust and are superior to the newer one-size-fits-most rubber ones

My adjustable ones came with my 2009 truck. I use those for large drinks and the one between the shift knob and the console for the coffee(smaller) for a snug fit.

You're correct, I miss spoke, the newer ones are one-size-fits-most...

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
So is this not standard now? Mine came with it in 05.

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
Has anyone modified the small one by the gear shift? I thought about maybe a hole saw and 3" pvc cap so that something bigger than a 12 oz can would fit. Should work in theory right?
