Well, it didn't bug me at first, but now it does. Who knew you'd get so dependent on knowing what the temp is outside. A bit bigger deal for me, as opposed to others, as I live in the mountains and it would be nice to know when its approaching freezing.

Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated.

That's one of the things I miss most about my '13. That, and as someone who uses mirrors to back up a lot of the time, the backup camera screen in the rear view... And the auto dimmer... As soon as someone smarter than me figures out how to do the full swap to make my '14 into a '13 I'm going to be all over that mod.

I have my scan gauge display intake air temp. When I'm moving, I get readings to within one degree.

Depending on which model you purchased, Toyota is adding one to my '14 Tacoma for me. Rep at customer service said lots of complants are being generated by not having the outside temp which was listed in the brochure.
Try it, nothing to loose, but be very nice when you call - they don't have to do anything.

I thought the only mirror available on the '14s (other than the junk one that most us have) just has auto dim and compass? Let us know how this works out!

The only thing I see the temp gauge listed on is dbl cab automatics with the highest option package.

No outside temp gauge? Until now I was feeling like a bit of a chump buying a 13 after the calendar had changed to 14.
Having the backup camera in the mirror and not the nav screen was one of the things that pushed me from Sport to SR5.

In the states, the mirror with temp, comp, autodim & homelink & all wiring & temp probe <$300( I like the homelink as our visors are way thick for opener clips & I can open 3 devices from the mirror). The install is not bad about an hour for everything or you can have like a local audio shop do it for maybr $50-100.

I have the double cab sport and the only temp reading I get is the weather update on the LCD. But what happens when I don't buy a subscription lol?? I'm gonna ask the dealer wtf

Within ~1-3° of ambient, depending on conditions (while in motion)...if you're idling at a stand still in the blazing heat, underhood/intake temps tend to rise
