My friend... I wish I could say that was a "little" OCD. I have been this way since I used to show cars.

So you're expecting bullet proof glass or something because you paid $37k? Broken, chipped windshields happen all the time. You may have just been lucky with your previous vehicles to not get hit with the right rock in just the right place. I've been driving for 20+ years and never had a serious chip or crack in any of my vehicles but if I do get one in my Tacoma I wouldn't blame the windshield.

    Nope.

I started showing cars back in the early 90's before I got on the Fire Dept. I used to restore cars and just got OCD about it. Now if it's raining outside I rinse it off when I get home or work raining or not. Makes cleaning a lot easier. Every time I rotate the tires I crawl under the truck (and car) and clean from front to back. First I like it clean. Second it allows me to notice any problems before they arise.

    Ah I see
    Whatever man
Bad luck or not, it already happened. Just take me a week or 2 to move on and forget about it lol.

The only reason I think it is more than just bad luck simply because there are others who have chipped windows as well.

If there was a forum for every car on the road and people posted every time they got a chip....there'd be a lot of forum posts about chipped windshields. Happens all the time, not much that can be done about it. Maybe after they outlaw guns they can outlaw rocks too. :p That'll keep the road safer.

My windshield has about ten chips in it but no running cracks yet and i don't plan to replace any time soon, cause every time i do seems like i get another chip within like a month or so. i live in a rural area and there's allot of dirt road's that lead on to the pavement so yeah not gonna replace until it's fubar

    Are you kidding me?

    Are you fuckin kidding me?

    2 chips in 6 months?

This is a trolling thread right?

My truck needed a new windshield at 2000 miles. I don't follow people close either. Oh and that was after only 3 weeks of driving it off the lot.

There's no flaw with Toyota windshields, the flaw is all the gravel on the road.
