Need an opinion... When getting into, out of, into the bed, or anything else that moves the shocks up and down, I get a squeaking noise. Yes, it's still under warranty, no, I haven't been to the dealer. Should I have them check it out, or is it a Tacoma thing. My F150 with 180k miles didn't squeak, but I chalked that up to everything being worn out. I don't hear it going down the road, but WOW it's loud getting into the bed to load the motorcycle in the garage. I don't want to go to the dealership and be "that guy".....

It kind of is just a Tacoma thing lol, lots of people complain about it. Mine comes and goes, power washing the leafs sometimes helps. Good luck!

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Your truck is talking to you; telling you it's ok.

LOL, thanks for the replies. Is there anything I can do to mitigate the noise, from spraying lithium grease in a certain spot to installing zerk fittings somewhere? Although I always appreciate feedback from my ride, this one seems to just be telling me I am a fat ass... :)

It's not the shocks. It's the leaves rubbing together. Just a miniscule amount of dirt and they squeak like crazy.

Mine is worse in the summer. When I can't take it anymore I spray wd40 where the second leaf rubs the top leaf at the rear and it goes away for a while.

haha, when mine would do it, I would soak everything, leaves, shackle, bushings, it never helped. Try pressure washing them, it will make it go away for a week or 2 at least

Mine did the same thing and the dealer apparently discontinued a clip on the rear leaf springs.. They now have a new one that installs in minutes and prevents the squeak, mine was over 60,000 km so I had to pay for it myself but if it's below the parts warrenty limit they should replace it free of charge

Washing mine with the pressure washer helps. I just go to one of those wand washes and put coins in and use the entire time on the leaf springs. Come to think of it I can't remember the last time they were squeaky...
