I'm Italian. My wife is Asian. She thinks my cock is a monstrosity. Don't need a truck for that.

She met me when I was 18. I had nothing but a smile and a hard-on to give. We've been together for 25 years and she drives a Lexus. She didn't marry me for my money. It's a bonus.

Not lifted but the biggest thing I'll drive over is a curb or a speedbump.

There are other suspension mods/issues that aren't lifting, but someone might want to do. Although I love my truck height - perfect for zooming at 80 down I-5 - I need to replace the rear springs. One, for better load capacity and two, to cure my 2013s sagging ass - yeah, I put a shell on and it is most definitely sagging in the back six months later. Oh well.

So yeah, no lift needed here but my old best buddy out in Colorado has a hell of a lift and uses it when camping. Probably couldn't go some places he goes without it. So I get the need for those who need it, but a SoCal "pavement princess" truck that sees nothing but asphalt does not need it.

On a related note, like I said, I'll never offroad, but the way people drive here in parking lots here has me considering armored bumpers pretty seriously. If you back into my truck I want you to cry like a bitch and curse the day you got a driver's license, and me to laugh.

Are you throwing the B.S. flag on yourself. Trust me I will take you on trail a 2wd won't get past the 1st rock garden. You can take a stock truck many places but there is a reason they have 4wd trucks and lockers and lift kits. Others wise I would be taking my wife's Volvo off road.

14TACO4X4, op is a valid question. I think a lot of Tacoma owners wonder the same thing, just never wanted to put it into words. I've lifted several Jeeps in the past, for better off-road capability, and put new rear leafs on a 2002 Tacoma for better load capacity. I have pondered a better suspension for my 2013 Tacoma, but probably wouldn't at this point. It does what I want it to, as is off the lot. Not to say that I never would...I think some of the new truck feeling would have to wear off before I could off-road it seriously.

I've been anti-lift for the longest time
Reason being: I don't want to get the geometry of all the drive components out of whack
But I really want an ARB front bumper, in case I hit a deer or Honda Accord; I also want to put more than 35lbs in the back of my truck, without nearly hitting my bumpstops

Almost all options for heavier-duty coils and leafs lift the truck to some extent
From all the reading I've done on here (someone please correct me if this isn't right); if you keep the lift under 2 1/2 inches, you're still in safe territory with angles and you won't have to extend brake lines and such
(Oh, I'm talking about a 1st Gen, by the way)

So... after a long time of being anti-lift; I'm considering some heavier coils and leafs that will put me at about 1 1/2 - 2 inches over stock
