I'm thinking they want us to just settle for the barely changed tundra...i will not.

Yeah, those 4Runner wheels are nice. I have the older 4Runner rock warrior style wheels and really like them. The grill insert i'm on the fence about but an easy switch out for 2012+ models who want it likely. You can already get black badging and the other TRD shift knob and accents. The Tundra and 4Runner benefited more from the factory accents than the Tacoma which had most already.

But really, I don't see anything that isn't already available other than what I just mentioned. It's basically a TX Pro/Baja make over for each of the models for consistency, with a nice new paint color option. It would have been nice if the TRD Pro came with the supercharger option from the factory, or 6 way seats.

What are the Michelin ORP tires they are offering on the Trundra? I couldn't find anything about those. Is Michelin trying to offer up a better all terrain tire?

Looks like toyota hate to give the tacoma a redesign
Literally it is the same damn thing with small cosmetics changes

I would say this will be ball park with the Baja price
    If not MORE

My dealer told me today that 2015 will be a Tacoma redesign.. We'll see if that's actually the case, but if they do I highly doubt that they will introduce a new motor..

well looks like nissan is trying to upstage the tacoma today :

Nissan Frontier Cummins Diesel Runner Teases A Bright Future

    .

    [IMG]S
The freshly-unveiled Nissan Frontier Diesel Runner embodies some great ideas that really gets me fired up about the future of trucks: it's small, it's focused on efficiency, and it's being designed with off-road usage in mind.
Regarding whether or not Nissan will actually build it, VP Fred Diaz only offered "We want to see what the public says."
If it does come to life, a Frontier Diesel launch would likely coincide with a new bodystyle as the current Frontier is good n' ripe.
So to all of you who keep bitching and moaning that the world needs more little trucks (yes, I am among you) now's the chance to post a barrage of comments about what you think of this cute little hauler.
    [IMG]S
This "technical study" Frontier Diesel Runner is running a Cummins 2.8 4-cylinder diesel Nissan says will meet or exceed "future emissions standards." Obviously, they mean short-term future.
They're also claiming "nearly 200 HP and over 350 lb ft of torque" and a 35% fuel economy increase over a V6 2WD Frontier.
This Diesel Runner is also 2WD, driven through a ZF 8HP70 8-speed automatic transmission. Rear axle is a 3.13.
    [IMG]S
What kind of surprised me was Nissan's choice to kit it out like a 2000's-era tuner car. Pretty sure I used to lust over graphics like that as a middle schooler with a stack of Sport Compact Car magazines, and I'm sure that gauge pod on the dash won't be around in a production version.
    [IMG]S
The hood, lower front spoiler, and entire bed cover are carbon fiber. Wheels are borrowed from the Nissan Frontier PRO-4X.
Diaz promised they're going to "beat the crap out of the test mule" in the near future, so I have a feeling that carbon will get swapped for something a little cheaper and more robust before this thing gets let out into the wild.
    [IMG]S
As for the 5.0 Cummins Titan, Nissan says we'll be waiting another year.

It's not the case. That is the 2015 Tacoma that they had in the live release.

ya but the Hilux is not a new platform with a very proven Diesel power plant. It wont take much for Toyota to that power plant into the US.

Hey now :) Wont get into the Baja debate for for some (like me) it's great.
Very true, at least I can sleep at night knowing that the Baja had a limited run, maybe that help with resale but who knows :)

I have a question for the folks with the Baja
For say when u do sell the truck , bring it in to a dealer for trade in and your truck does not have the Baja sticker on the bed side.

Do they give u a quote by entering the Vin on the computer or wwhat?

its not just a sticker, suspension, wheels and what not as well, and yes your vin will tell a dealer if it was sold as a BAJA or not.

They created a market stir by discontinuing the TRD Sport (the only model with the scoop) just so they could re-package it on the TRD PRO.

This model is nothing new, except for a paint color. You could have a TRD PRO if you bought a TRD Sport and installed a lift and TRD exhaust and a fancy grill from Homertaco
