Just an addition. They're a bolt on mod. The only cutting required is removing the stock bump stop.

Here's the link to my install thread. Inside you will find another link with even more info.

had the tsb done at serra toyota,no problems...the service writters and techs said it was gonna ride like crap, can't figure why they said that cause it rides real sweet, they also installed my 5100's(f/r) at the same time...but i wonder if it will be any better with the 5160's,they look so trick.check out my picture gallery.i'll try and post a pic later.

Forgot that I could check out your picture gallery, you don't have to post one. But thats good to hear about serra because that is where I used to take my 4runner so I'll probably get them to do the tires, 5100s/5160s, maybe eibachs, tsb, and an oil change too probably. Was the tsb free, besides installation, for you? I'm wondering if it has passed its warranty for me.

Did you have to get larger billies in the rear since you have the lift?

yeah, the tsb was a no cost item(36,000mi.),and i've been dealing with serra since i bought my 99 prerunner,i've been looking at some of the same techs since that time, plus they're closer to me than limbaugh(limbaugh did a nice truck for last year's auto show, the red one in my pic gallery)also be aware that some of the new"factory stuff" is becomming available..lift springs/shocks,ect..might be an option, kinda pricey thou.the pics in my gallery with the "nitto script" on the windshield are the latest.

From what I've read, the "stock" 5100s will work for up to 2" lift in the rear. After that, you need the extended length.

Where can you look at these factory options that you are referring to? And unfortunately, my truck has 60k on it so hopefully the tsb is not too expensive. I wonder if I should consider aftermarket leaf springs since I will be paying for them.

if you're gonna have to pay for your own "leaf pak ",then i could just about assure you that you could get a more capable set-up than buying an overpriced pak from toyota(downsouth motorsport, wheeler's,allpro, old man emu)..the factory tsb pak might be kinda pricey, someone may have a set for sale on this site thou."trd parts4u" may have factory type lift coils(i'd compare closely with eibach)there's a thread on here somewhere...a guy bought the whole set-up from TRD(lift springs and i think bilstein 9100's...buggers must be huge)but check out the bilstein website for info...some guys go with the adjustable coilovers from toytec...but i've heard their are hard to adjust after they've been on for a while...get back to you later.

Here's my 2011 TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 with Bilsteins all around (1.75" in the front), with 265/75/16 Goodyear Duratracs. Still have the 3-leaf pack in the rear.

Just purchased a set of OME 887 coil springs, 1.5" Wheeler's HD AAL, and Light Racing UCAs, so my rig will change soon. With that being said, I love my current setup.

Awesome, thanks for the pictures. This would be my exact set up if I didn't do the new leaf pack. I'd like to see what your ride will look like after you install all those new parts though so please post one once you finish those mods or let me know that you post a photo in your gallery so I can check it out.

Also, what's a good website to order the 5100s/5160s off of?

I took the advice from others here and bought them from Downsouth Motorsports. Great customer service!

look at"thatguyjz's build",he did the "baja lift"...front trd coils, bilsteins with 5160's on the rear...bit more pricey than some of the other stuff but his truck came out super.kinda hard to hate on factory parts.
