my favorite thing about mine is i can't kill her, she takes a lickin'n keeps on tickin' lol! put her through 2' deep mud, sand, snow, water and run her at 4000 to 6000 rpms on the interstate for hundreds of miles, still runs like new

fav stock feature is having a year model pre-runner with REAL LSD, not break assisted.

also having the high output alternator has been a godsend, the inverter (i ran it into a power strip inside cab) has come in handy for small stuff ( i have large ones for power tools etc, again the alternator comes on handy) considering when responding to distsaters i have lived in it for weeks sometimes

as for aftermarket mod's too many to pick a favorite :)

    cheers,
    disco

    Simple....

Looks good, drives good, has every bell and whistle available, and I have pretty much finished the mods other than a new rear bumper and maybe sliders.

    Hey guys,
I'm a new member, but have relied on this sight for some common & not so common answers related to issues i've had on my 06 Taco!
    This site is great!

I think my truck is great! 200k plus & I cant count the repairs on 1 hand!
I've read about several issues some of you guys have had & I must say knock wood I haven't had any of them.
Especially the braking issue i've read, i must say since day 1 that the brakes have been 1 of the best features! This truck stops! & freakin stops fast!
I've used this truck for the past 7.5 years as a work truck driving a min of 100 mi a day from long island to nyc & beyond & beat the crap out of it on the nyc roads, loading & overloading it & it never lets me down!
This is my 4th toyota truck & between them i have over 700k without any real major repairs!
    Gotta love them toyota's!
    Glad to be a member.

    Check these guys out. www.nea4wd.org
The best wheeling you can find in mass is through clubs. They have access to a lot of private land for group runs.

When I was offered the option of getting a company truck, or a vehicle allowance, I was hung up because with a payment and insurance I couldn't buy the Taco with the vehicle allowance. So I asked if I could get a Tacoma as a company truck instead of the usual Silverado and they went for it!
So, the best thing about my 2014 Taco is that it was free! But honestly it is by far the best looking truck on the market, mid or full size. Couple that with the fact that I can park it and my Avalon in the driveway side by side without banging doors together, and the steering wheel stereo controls are a killer feature. I had them on my last Dodge 1500 back in 2000, but I immediately swapped in a new deck which didn't support them so they were just dead buttons on my wheel, but now I practically never touch my stereo directly. Its geeky, but hey its simple and safer, too.

I love all the cupholders. Nothing like 'wheeling through the snow with eight 32oz slurpies and cups of coffee under absolute control!

Also, you can (sometimes) score decent, useful parts relatively cheaply.
