I've got a 4wd that makes a popping sound when turning to the right. Gets worse and feels like it's binding if I turn to full lock. Turning left no sound. Going straight no sound. Is this a cv axle going bad? Any help is appreciated.

Definitely seems like a cv axle.

It could be a cv axle, most likely your lower control arm bolts are backing out. Same thing happened to me and they're supposed to be torqued down pretty tight. It's the bolts on the lower control arm closest to the rear. Your control arm shifts back and forth and it makes the popping noise.
    Hope this helps

I'll check this cause it's eas to get to. The binding feels like what happens if you turn too tight in 4wd but I'm in 2wd when it happens.

A seized slip yoke on the front driveshaft will also give you some binding .
I agree with above posters . Usually just looking at the front CV boots gives you an indication of whats going on . If the boots are torn on the outer cv joints , you can almost bet that they are filled with road debris . equal tire size and alignment also play a role in this
