Hey everyone I can't seem to find or figure out what those little square pieces above the driver and passenger door are or go to.. They are a little plastic square that I can't seem to open or really don't want to break but really has no functional purpose... Anyone do anything with them, turn them into something?

May be part of the side curtain airbag system. Why not leave them alone?

You're right. Usually the airbag stuff has an "SRS" logo or something on it. I've seen similar things on windshield pillars on other vehicles that had logos. Maybe someone else here knows more. - Mark

Maybe your Base model tacoma doesn't have the curtain airbags and those tabs are just there to cover up the hole that would normally have airbags on other models.

They're just pucks to hold up the headliner. Mine say srs airbags on them to. Just a screw in there. Nothing else. Airbags are above the headliner in that vicinity, but they're not hooked up to anything.
