A friend of mine called me and said her dad was selling their cabin and farm on the Buffalo River and that i could have the canoes if i wanted them but i had to get them that day. I called around for a trailer or some help but everyone was busy so i said WTF surely i can get two free canoes on my truck and drive 30 miles with them. Luckily they gave me some old car batteries and a few log chains too so that helped in the counter balancing of the one canoe. I'm glad that there were plenty of tie down points in this truck because i used them all. Now if i had a roof rack and the D-ring mod i would be dangerous:D

:rofl:I would not have gone 2 miles without being pulled over around here. I am sure there are people telling the story about how some jackass had 10ft of canoe sticking out of his bed.

since they were giving all this stuff away it was like a DEEBS fight between me and my buddy. i got both the canoes but he ended up with a set of golf clubs,a set of chairs and free beer.
i figured it wouldn't ride too well but the cabin is about 1.5 miles off the road through a feild and a rough driveway so that was my test run. If they didn't fall off going through the woods and feild then i was ready for the pavement. Once we got on the road everything rode well at about 50mph.
