I have to echo what everyone else has said about the boat towing part. "A 20-25 foot boat" could cover a HUGE spread. Not to mention, many people fail to consider the weight of the trailer, fuel, and all the other crap you tend to carry in a boat.

Here's a real world example: I have a 22' center console, with a published weight listed at about 2700 lbs. if you look it up. That listing is for the hull only - add a Yamaha 225 four stroke, and that's another 600 lbs. My tank is almost always kept near full, which easily adds 500 more lbs. Add in all of the other misc. gear on the boat, and you are up to 4,000 lbs or more. The trailer probably weighs somewhere between 800-1000 lbs alone, so now you have a "2700 lb. boat" that is closer to 5,000 lbs.

If I had to tow my boat on a regular basis, I wouldn't want to use my Tacoma to do it. Fortunately, it stays in the water and only gets towed twice a year, for a total of about 4 blocks.

I believe the SR5 base model comes with steel wheels and 245/75R16 Dunlop Grantrek AT20 tires. They are the same overall height as those found on the TRD Off Road. Neither the Dunlop and the BF Goodrich tires are anything to write home about. The BFG's are probably a slighty better tire but both will do fine on the road. Performance-wise, the TRD tire/wheel doesn't get you much, just looks and alloy wheels instead of steel which will eventually rust.

When I bought my SR5, it had the wheel upgrade and came with fog lights. It was perfect for me as I had no use for a locker. The bed outlet would have been nice but it wasn't worth the extra $$ to me personally. I ended up swapping the wheels and tires in a few years anyways to those that come on the TRD Sport since I liked them better.

My '13 SR5 DCSB 6sp came with steel wheels and 245/75-16 Dunlap GrandTrek AT20 tires. Alloys were a $400.00 option.

yep. big side by marina and north of cheshire. no more swimming north of 36/37. too many people drowning from jumping off of cliffs with little ability of swimming and nowhere to climb out. Everyone hangs out in big swim cove now. Straight across from the cheshire ramps.

Access Original Tonneau Cover; Toyota Side Tube Steps; Focal ISS690 front speakers; Clarion XC1410 mini amp; Gentex 453 rearview mirror with Homelink, Compass, Temp and Autodim; Prodigy P2 trailer brake controller, Heated Seats from www.cobraheat.com, BriteAss Fogs, Phillips Extreme LED H/L. Heated mirrors from @Up2NoGood. 5100 Bilstein all four corners.
$1800 for the extras are worth it even if you use it ONCE! I had a '09 ACOR PreRunner V6/Auto and loved it. Had a few times where I needed the locker rear to get me up a hill and also out of a ditch in the snow. The only thing it wouldn't do is get to our other house in NV when it snowed or roads a little icy. Had to use sis-in-law Explorer. So, I got me a new '14 ACOR 4x4 same package as before and am sure I'll use the locker a few times in the future. imo, it's worth every penny without saving to get a lesser truck then spending money to get what you want. You may find you spend more.

I also use my truck to tow my Cobra and Z06 to the track. Trailer=1100 lbs. Cobra-2300 lbs. Z06=3300 lbs; all plus gear in my truck bed and don't have issues at all. Probably towing and carrying close to 4500/5500 lbs depending on what car. Going over Tehachapi and Grapevine in CA pulls easy at 55mph or more. Flat land as fast as 75mph(in AZ) and over the limit in CA.
