Bad knocking at idle

2006 tacoma knocks at idle . Sounds like a rod knocking . Been doing it for about 6 months chk engine light came on about 4 months ago . Said #4 cylinder missfire changed plugs , coil . And injector ...... still knocking ..... could it be the knock sensore .. ???? . Has a slight miss at low rpm. ...................but runs fine driving with high rpm.....

 

Sounds like time to do a compression test.

 

Sounds like a bearing may have gone bad.

 

I'm not sure it would knock that long and not get worse. With that code, hopefully its one cyllinder firing out of time and its piston slap. Check the timing or bring it to Toyota for a diagnostic. They may not charge much if they think they'll also get to repair it. Good luck.
