Yes but you have the off road package. Pre 2011 I think they kept the SR5 on the Off Road and Sport packages. 2012+ they dropped the SR5 name from those packages.

Sports are not 4wd, they are 2 with limited slip.
I own a TRD sport prerunner. Sounds like you need a TRD off road package. From there you can choose to add a Nav package and two package and that will get you what you want.

Well then, I must be the only Taco owner on the Eastern Seaboard with a Sport that is equiped with 4WD.;)

FYI- Off Road packages are only offered with a short bed, the OP wants a long bed.

You can get the Sport package in 2 wheel drive (PreRunner) or 4x4. No Tacoma comes from the factory with a mechanical limited slip diff since 2009, I believe. LSD functions are provided by the traction control system. OP wants a DCLB with the bed outlet, TRD Sport is the only package with both those things available together.

I was under the impression all sports are two wheel drive. I have never seen a 4wd sport.

Is this something they recently changed?

It's been like that since 2005. I've never seen a Sport 2 wheel drive, but that's probably a result of where I live. Very few 2 wheel drives in the snow belt.

Wow, so much wrong information in this thread. You can get any model of the Tacoma (base, SR5, TRD Sport or TRD Off-road) in a Prerunner model which means it's a 2WD version that looks like the 4WD. You can also get any of those with 4WD.

The TSS, Texas Edition, XSP-X etc are just appearance packages sold by Gulf States Toyota. All are slightly different but it usually includes upgraded wheels/tires, side steps of some sort, and some decals/floor mats.

Not true. The Tacoma I just traded was a 2013 TRD Sport and it was 2WD.

I just picked up a 2013 TRD Sport access cab, long bed, V6 manual 4x4, non-nav, cloth.

She has a hitch, however is there a different "tow package" other than having a hitch, or is that an indicator the truck has a tow package? What's a tell-tale sign that you can say "nope" or "yep, she's got it" for the package?

... disclaimer: Absodanglutely complete tacoma newb here but reading fast. :)

Is there a 7 pin connector mounted nicely next to the trailer hitch? If there is look underneath, is the harness nice and tightly wrapped with stretch tape? Trans cooler and engine oil cooler are all giveaways that it came stock with tow

Here's a thread with some nice pics to show what's included with the tow package: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/towing/300821-tow-package.html

I guess I missed your post mentioning that you're in Austin. So am I! I actually just took home my first Tacoma on Saturday. I came from an Acura RDX and the change is VERY different, but really exciting. I do a double take anytime I throw something dirty in the bed because I'm used to cringing every time I put something "un-clean" in the back of the RDX (like firewood).

The unfortunate thing for us here in Texas (among other states), is that we're under the domain of Gulf States Toyota, who wants us all to drive Texas Edition trucks (which don't add any functional features). I ultimately got mine (4x4 double cab off road) from Autonation in South Austin (I-35 & Stassney). I called inquiring about a similar Tacoma, but not exactly what I wanted. Told the salesman exactly what I was looking for, he said he would have one in ~3 weeks, I added side steps to it (fiancee is 5'2") and it arrived 3-4 days ahead of schedule. The whole process was smooth and I was very happy with it.

    Back to your truck though...

I really wanted the Off-Road package, so I gave up the long bed. Sounds like you need the long bed, so the Sport looks like your best bet. You'll get the power outlet in the back (because of the Sport package) and the option for 4x4 if you want it. My research brought up the same info as yours (Sport package has available long bed and no rear locker) when comparing it to the Off-Road package.

Ahhh yes, Gulf States Toyota (GST), in case you didn't have a reason to drive up to Oklahoma, you now have a great one :)

One other thing to keep in mind is that if you like to modify, or think you will, you might want to go with the lower line model (Base or SR5) since you will probably update many of the TRD additions.

Nice.. Thanks! As soon as I can get to it, I'll check it out. You guys rock! It's a 6-speed manual, so may be a unique setup on it's own. If I identify goodies like the oil cooler, I'll post pics on how a 6-spd looks.

I think there is a plug of some kind to the left of the hitch, from my failing old-man memory.

Also, there is a mysterious harness of some kind in its baggie in the center console that came with her, which I assumed also had something to do with a tow hookup.

From Austin, there is never a reason to drive to Oklahoma :).

I thought about it actually. Didn't look into tax for non-resident buyers though.

The "normal" process is that if you are out of state, the out of state dealer does not charge for tax. Then when you go to register local, they collect there. Takes a special trip down to the DMV though.
