Like father like son.

I bought a silver 2014 prerunner trd sport dbl cab a month ago, last night my son came home with a silver 2012 prerunner sr5 access cab, both V6 and 2wd. He got it for 21,990 and has 17k mi on it, they were asking 25k for it. The silver on his is a lot lighter and it looks brand new not a mark on it, he also got free maintenance until 60k mi.

That's great. You both can do install MODs together and really have bonding time. As for the difference in silver, Toyota changed to the new silver color starting 2014. You have the 2014 "silver sky metallic" and his is the "silver streak Mica". Just make sure to stress the color code when buying online or you will get the standard silver streak color although a very happy son. Welcome to TW.

My Dad and I both have kind of matching tacos too. The only difference in ours is his is silver.

My Dad, Oldest Brother, and myself all have 2nd Gen V6 Tacos. Bro has the TRD Offroad DC, Dad has the Pre-runner SR5 DC, I have the Pre-Runner SR5 AC. Brother and myself have the Silvers and Dad has the Desert Sand.

 

Wow, I guess I shouldn't be surprised others have multiple Tacos in their families.
