They tested this product with the storm chasers and had the TIV (Tornado Intercept Vehicle) coated with it and it worked well keeping dings and that vehicle put together. Check it out on youtube.

Not sure if this was already mentioned, but how much weight did this add to the truck?

And how hard will it be to wash? Didn't see it, is this your daily driver?

The material that was sprayed through the gun was 85 lbs that included test panels and overspray. I estimate around 70-75 lbs.

This is my daily driver and this is sprayed with Line-X Premier with an extra top coat. The tops coat is just like paint but stronger and bonds with the Line-X material. It will not fade and holds up really well. Cleaning is the same as a regular paint job. Once i have it longer I will find out if that is true.

    I think it's cool.
Wonder if it will help with insulting you from the elements.

Wow that looks great. You could have put some bondo in the fender holes and let them spray over it and just leave the flares off.

Man, I know I said do it and post pics. But you shouldn't have done it, you've ruined your truck now. Jk.

I think it's cool, but I'm surprised that the guy doing it didn't take off your window trim and handles etc. If you had taken it to a reputable paint shop thats what they would've done. That way you wouldn't have line-x edges on those pieces. Thats a lot of $ to shell out and have them skip that.
Not trying to talk negative cause it's cool. I'm just particular about stuff like that.

Remember that this is not the finished product. There is still tape and some removal of overspray that has to be done. Also I had them leave the weather stripping on bc I am replacing it later on with new stuff. My old weather stripping had pits in it from the weather stripping.

I have upgraded to the bushwacker fender flares and will have them on the truck this evening.

Ok cool:thumbsup: I'm surprised more people haven't done this, especially the hardcore off roaders, as durable as the stuff is.

I am doing this this summer. I will be getting my whole truck line-xd silver. My tailgate, rocker pannels, fender flares, rear bumper, roof and UCA's are all line xd.

I fully approve of what you did. Looks great!
