Sliders (I know theres been alot of talk)

I couldn't find what I wanted on the threads. So here it is.

I go offroad when I can but have never needed sliders before, but would try more difficult terrain if I had. I also have a 4yr old daughter and my mom sometimes rides in my truck, so I kinda wanted a set that would provide support while wheeling and a step for my kid and mom. Do the steps on these hang down real low? Would they be more of a liability while wheeling with the 2 steps, another words if I got snagged between the steps would I then be up shit creek? There is a place about 45 min. from me that sells them. I also know that shrock works has been turning some members off with their attitude lately. Thanks.

 

if you snag those n fabs on a rock with the entire vehicles weight on them they are gona buckle up and bend the step, your rocker panel and possibly the under cab where they bolt on.

 

Thats what I was affraid of. I know they aren't sliders but was hoping they could hold up. I don't really abuse the truck that often, not that I don't want to but with work and all I don't have the chance.

What about these? How about the price of sliders in general what should I look to pay?
