18.7mpg does not sound unreasonable to me. Driving consciously is your best bet. Easier said than done.

    Too few to list.
At all highway during the summer (all stock), I was getting 22 mpg with the 6 speed. At 65-70mph, I believe the revs are around 2.3-2.6K with the 6speed. The auto will get better mpgs. 65-70mph revs lower than the 6speed.

I would love to get your mileage. 2014 V6 auto double cab, and I get 13.2 to 13.4. All stock with stock size winter tires. On the last tank I jacked my tire pressure up to 38 psi and still got 13.2. I've gotten as low as 12.8. Filled up tonight with premium just to see if it makes any difference.

I got 18.5 MPG no matter what I did until I hit about 7000 miles. Now I get 19-20 depending on how I drive. 2014 V6 DCSB 4x4

The tires are aired up according to factory specs listed on the door. From all of the replies so far I`m thinking the engine needs to break in some more and get summer blend gas.

EPA rating assumes non-winter temps too which makes a substantial difference. It's not supposed to represent optimal conditions so if you drive right you can get more than the rating, or below it if you so wish. With the modern EPA test my truck should be 18/20 and, well, I don't get that and I don't hypermile at all anymore.

My 4.0L was rated 14/19, lifetime avg was 21.6 when I sold it, but that I'd used mild hypermiling techniques occasionally.

At 70 mph mine would stay somewhere between 14 and 18 mpg, sometimes 20, depending on conditions. At 55 mph it would eventually get up to about 23-24 mpg if driven long enough. At 40 mph, 30+ average was child's play (an ice storm on a cross-state trip let me find that out). Absolutely huge difference with speed.

The OP should be happy he's not trying to squeeze mpg's with this overdrive!

2014 Tacoma TRD sport dcsb 4x4 stock, warm so cal winter. Have to work hard to get exactly 20 mpg. Anything better mpg-wise requires driving too slow for any state, let alone SoCal. I piss a lot of people off getting 20 mpg. It's easier now that I got my windows tinted lol.

I wish I was getting 18.7mpg. I got 19 once since I've had my truck. My last tank I only got a little over 14 mpg in my 2012 DCSB TRD Sport.

You will get better when the engine breaks in and the weather warms up. I have the same truck (stock), but a 2013 and get over 21 in the summer and 19-20 in the winter. I drive 85 miles a day to work and back and that is almost all hwy (i put the cruise on 70mph). My last tank was slightly over 20. I got around 17 when I first got my truck (mid march 2013) under the same driving conditions as above. I've hit 22 a few times, but that is when I put the cruise on 65.

Can't speak for the 2014, but in my 2013 V6 standard I am averaging 22 mixed driving, my last tank was 22.2, with a high just a little over 24. And no the chips do not work. No offense but In every instance I have seen where the truck is stock and the person is getting lower than the sticker rating it is a driver issue.
I would point out that cruz, if you use cruz, it is not your friend for MPG unless it is on flat ground. Hills will kill MPG using cruz.
I would ask one question to eliminate mechanical issue. What are the RPM's at 55 MPH?

Yep, cruise sucks on these trucks in the hills. I get a lot of torque converter slip and drops to 4th and even 3rd if the hill is steep enough. The best way to run on hilly highways is to build up some speed going down and let off going up.
