So I own a 2012 Tacoma TRD sport 4dr, this is gonna get some hate but bought a Rough Country 6" suspension lift for 899. But before installing been reading up and the questions I have now do I really need to get new beefier coil overs, uca's and lca's or would my truck be fine with just the lift and stock stuff. Guys at Rough County says I dont need any of that stuff but in the long run I want it right.....and im kind of iffy of what they say even though they are professionals, so bring on the comments, arguments, and thoughts! Please and thank you.

Do you need all that stuff? No... I think the ride will leave quite a bit to be desired though.

Gotcha but would it be better to go with it in the long run? And was thinking about replacing the blocks with new leafs any thoughts on that? And I dont get what you mean when you say will leave quite a bit to be desired. What about alignment should be pretty good with all stock parts?

Everything that comes in the kit will be a nice quality piece, shouldn't be any longevity trouble. The part that is going to suck is the ride quality. If you are hell bent on a 6 inch lift, I would personally go with one that has extended coilovers rather than strut spacers, the ride quality will be much better. As far as leafs, there are a few leaf packs out there that will give you 3ish inches of lift, All Pro specifically has a couple options there.

I think I gotcha so they're going to stretch out the ome coils for a stiffer ride, so if I ever wanted to change them out all I would have to do is (what I was thinking) some toytec boss coilovers and that'll do the trick am I right?

The kit should be good enough as is. It's not a must to replace the uca and lca. You can run stock with the lift kit, till the bushings go to shit. Then replace it with aftermarket ones.

And yes get rid of the spacers! Lol king makes custom springs and rear shocks for drop bracket lift kits. They ride much better

So hoping someone will see this update been looking at the BOSS coilovers BOSS-TTFCS-2005 kind of sketchy about them since I've seen that it would fit a 2012 and won't fit a 2012 tacoma anyone who actually knows the answer or have messed with them? Thanks in advance!
