I was looking into removing the silver plastic trim around the AC vents and the odometer to spray paint them and put them back on. Should i just get a knife and pop them off or is there something i should do prior to removal? I have seen someone else do this ill post the pic of their finished product soon.

To get to the rings around the speedo etc you need to pull out the cluster panel and push the tabs that hold them in from the back of the panel. I too was tired of the silver but hydro dipped mine instead of painting.
