This is more of an annoyance post. Wondering if anyone else has this or not. My 2013 lower window seals, the part that presses against the window at the bottom is (and this is the only way to describe it) furry on the inside. The "fur" doesn't really dry well so even if my window is dry and I put the window down and back up again the window is now covered in a smear of water marks. In all other vehicles I've owned this seal acted more of a squeegee and was even useful in clearing a driver or passenger window of dew/water. Now with the "fur" instead of a smooth rubber edge it just smears water. Anyone else have this "fur" or even know what the heck I'm talking about? Wondering if it's just my truck or when did they start this. I want the old seal back.

Do you just reply because you have nothing else to do? Like I said it's more of an annoyance, but this is the first vehicle I've ever seen that does this. I thought maybe it was just something with my truck. Oh and I've noticed my gas pedal is hard too ;)

Thanks to all who offered a valid reply, just glad I'm not the only one.

The window seals do take a very long time to dry. It's kind of irritating to spend 2-3 hours washing and waxing your truck, then roll the windows down hours later and get that streak.

Simple fix... Don't wash and wax.:D

OP, I have noticed the same thing. Have had many different cars in the last twenty years. They have all done this to some extent. This one seems to be particularly bad. And, the brake peddle is too stiff.:D

You are right, I have nothing better to do. It just bothers me that every time I'm on here, I see threads or polls about problems, and I wonder how many are legitimate, real problems, or stupid little annoyances, that could simply be solved with a rain x wipe, that are disguised as problems. I may not have anything better to do but to laugh and respond about "annoyances," but i'd prefer not to see these threads on this forum. I'd rather see a "help me solve this" rather than "listen to me bitch," and "I bought a 34000 truck and it doesn't have side window wipers, WTF!!"

Dude I didn't say anything like you're acting like I did. I was wondering if it was normal. Not bitching or wishing for side window wipers..kook. Go do something. I had a 98 taco and it didn't do this so I didn't know if it was normal or some defect. It was simple question. Sorry it didn't meet your thread standards.

I use Aquapel. Water beads right off. One application is supposed to last 6 months. For me, one applicator was enough to do two side windows and one access door window.
