You don't need the Spod.. I am not running anything on mine. Just supercharger, Cold air intake, under drive pulley, Y pipe, and cat back exhaust.

Its only good if you care. I will just run it until it explodes. The gauge just makes you overly cautious... Fuck it, run it like you stole it. LoL And a boost gauge just screams to people to steal your truck because it kicks ass. Mine is completely debadged with no outward way to know its supercharged other than the whine of the charger when I punch it.

    MWAHAHAHA

I just installed TRD SC on my 2014. Do you have a video link on how to replace the pulley?

No, I don't. Nothing really on youtube either. Its super simple though. URD provides detailed instructions with the pulley.

Thanks- I watched the video and they suggest to modify/cut the pulley bolt. They sell a tool to do that. Did you use the tool?

SC is always worth it! I had a TRD SC on my 2007 Tacoma ACLB 4x4 6speed also. I love the manual transmission more than my current automatic 2014 DCLB 4x4. The auto-tranny needs a tune. I just ordered the Unichip PnP to reprogram the fuel map.

For now I'm simulating the auto-tranny and shifting like a manual but the shifting isn't as responsive as a manual. Also the traction control needs to be disabled to get the best power to the wheels. I have not done a dyno but know the SC performs better on a manual tranny.

I have my Tacoma's looking stock always! Wife got pulled over with it once and she claimed I did something to the truck and the speedo misreads (it didn't). Cop opened the hood to see if it was modified because he claimed he had a Tacoma also and knows what the mods are. Turns out that he couldn't identify the supercharger and let her go. Wife got a pass on the speeding ticket. :p

TankerTRD, I was looking at your truck config and I nearly have the same setup mechanical wise. Mine is a 2014 DCLB 4x4 SR5 Supercharged. I went with the SR5 to save some money to do an aftermarket OME 3" lift. Looks like you have the JRD Superchip for tuning. I just ordered the Plug N Play Unichip to optimize the fuel map. I currently have a high flow TRD Cat Back exhaust and was wondering how much of an improvement their is with the short headers.

As of right now I hadnt had the headers installed just yet so Im just waiting to do that. I definitely noticed a huge difference with and without the JDM Superchip it gave more power and way better fuel economy. But ill let you know that goes.

I have 800lbs of extra armor and tires on my truck. Plus lifted and heavier tires. If I do 70mph on a flat freeway I get 22mpg. In town if I dont use the gas peddle heavily I get 18-20mpg. I have a 6spd so I can control the RPM's more, in town I can dog it in 6th gear or a higher gear so it has the power when I need it. On the freeway, it sits right at the bottom of the power curve.

On average with me blasting around town, offroading, commuting, etc. I get about 18mpg.
