Just a really simple dumb question but would like a answer from the US guys. I have a 07 dc and my lights keep coming on. My one friend who is a mechanic said it might be my switch on my dash. I never thought about it but on my switch there is three positions(off/markers/on). But my marker position never works only fully on or off. Do the trucks in the US have a marker setting on their switch that works. I was told it didn't work on US trucks but would like the real answer.

If I recall (without going out to look)..... My 07 -TRD Sport - is on the stalk. On Park Off.

The driving lights have a switch on the dash - which, I just always leave them on.

When you say driving lights do you mean your fog lights? I have those on a push button switch.
So when you put the turning knob on the stalk to park do your marker lights only come on?

Sorry for such stupid questions but seeing if I should look at chasing a short or just change out the light stalk and see what happens

On my last '06 Tacoma I had OFF, Parking lights (and fog lights would not come on), Headlights (fogs would now work on low beam and off with high beams)

They're technically fog lights (OEM lights in the bottom bumper). They only come on with the low beams and turn off with the high beams.

When I put the lights/stalk in park - the outside corner (upper) lights come on. That's it....

Note: In PA at least - driving lights can only come on with high beams and fog lights can only come on with low beams. It's illegal to run them any other way (technically).

I have PIAA fogs that run anytime. I have to disconnect the power to them for inspections.
