Blacked Out the Emblems

Well I finally took the plunge and blacked out the emblems on the truck this weekend. Overall I like the look against the silver. I ended up using a whole can of the Krylon Fusion paint for plastic after using the adhesion promoter and sanding very lightly. After all that I used a few coats of clear and presto. DONE!!

I used the 3M emblem tape, and ran masking tape along the top edge and front of the emblem prior to removing.

Looks great! I was just thinking about black emblems today as I washed my truck. Was imagining what a black powdercoated rear bumper would look like and then thought I'd have to have black emblems to go with it.
