Todd your truck is sexy. I went through your gallery 3 times today lol. Guess I'm a stalker now.

Here's a pic of the modified BAMF mounts. I'd guess Todd has these and he has more clearance because he's running a shallow Satoshi grill. Very smart man!

Or you can get a shallow satoshi like Todd and save yourself some trouble. Even the grillcraft mesh kit would give you plenty of room.

No. But it does suck when you go off road and splash mud up there. It's gotta come out to clean

I'd rather have the deep Satoshi but if modifying the brackets are going to be more trouble than what its worth then Thin Lip it may be.

I guess it wouldn't be bad. I paid $40 for the LED BAMF mounts (powder coated) then had to pay a metal fabricator another $20 to modify them for my truck. If I knew I'd be going through this I would've went with a different grill set up. In the past I had a pair of 140 Lightforce lights that wouldn't fit in there either. So it does slim down your options a bit. Not trying to scare you, just help you save time and money with what you decide on.

I definitely appreciate the advice on this. Once I'm up and mobile (torn Achilles' Tendon) I'll take some measurements. I currently have some HELLA 500's that I wanted to place behind the grill but was seriously considering using a LED lightbar instead. Like I said, I like the look of the deep Satoshi but if it's better to "thin-lip" it then that's the route I'll take. Regardless, I appreciate the heads up.

Eliminated the chrome surround and changed the heads/fogs to some new Sylvania Silver Star zXe bulbs for a better color match. Contemplated LED's and HED's, but I can do that any time.

20" Double row OKLED bar on a BAMF mount, behind a CustomCarGrills mesh grill insert. I would recommend getting the BAMF with the powder coat as the Rustoleum truck bed spray I used chips easily. Look here for a video on how to do the mesh grill: www.customcargrills.com/

The top two bolts on the BAMF mount use the stock holes above the radiator, but I had to drill a small hole for the 3rd bolt at the bottom of the triangle part. You really need all 3 to prevent flexing.

Right on! Ya thats what I'm running, BAMF. I also have a very very thin lip Satoshi grill, 1/2" lip. You can run all brands of 20" LED light bars with my set up.

I have the BAMF behind my stock grill with a single-row 20" in the bottom opening. Works great.

This one is a 30" double, fits well though.
