I tried this on my 07 double cab, ran the wire along the right side of the windshield under the weather stripping and across the top of the windshield the same way. It worked great with the reception until I got above 65mph and it would create a nasty buzzing noise. Anyone got a good way to treat this, fill the gap caused by the wire with silicone or something or should I just route it elsewhere?

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
This is how I did my 2006 and 2013. Typically the wire is plenty long enough and all you have to remove is your doorstep covers to run the wire, they just pull off.

Actually, mine's inside the cab. It is literally mounted on the dash...held in place with Velcro. I ran the antenna cable along the bottom of the windshield and then under the dash.
