    Hey all,
So I was installing a recently purchased Access LiteRider tonneau cover, and when I went to remove the Torx screws that hold the rails on, I found that a couple of them were stripped. I really don't want to invest in those "EasyOut" drill bits, anyone have any recommendations?

If you can get some vice grips on them lock on and start unscrewing. I was able to get a stripped screw off on the bed bins this way. Then I replaced the screw

if you have a dremel you can cut into the head enough to get a flat head in there

If the head of the screw is a button head you can take a dremal or a hacksaw and make a slot to try to get it out with a flathead scredriver

If you drill the head off and pull the assembly off it's a lot easier to grab the shank.

Thanks for all the suggestions, got just about the same responses from other places. Unfortunately there isnt enough room to grab it with vice-grips. Looks like I need to whip out the dremel today. Thanks for the help!

How large are the screws, are you talking a #12 or less and I'm assuming that you mean the head is stripped and not the threads?

I have had much luck with a spring loaded center punch. You can buy them at Harbor Freight or probably Lowes. Punch the screw head straight on first to make a dent, then turn the punch on an angle punching it in the direction of loosening and punch the hell out of it. The shock of the hit much like a hammer drill helps greatly in these cases.
