Been there done that....Twice....and each time after they sprayed over (I guess it was an air relief valve of some sort) by the differential and it kept blowing the rear end seals. Chime in if anyone knows what that was called. It was on my 2001 Tacoma. Check to make sure they didn't do that.

I don't know about Texas.. but in New England it certainly doesn't...

Having said that, I'd go with the refund option, but also give them the opportunity to right their wrong (on their dime). If they can demonstrate that they are able to properly undercoat your truck, they may be able to save face in this train wreck of a job.

Take the video down, but save it on your computer. If they don't refund after taking it off, put the shit back on.
    Maybe that will work?

Because your video is not libel (everything you stated is true), you are not under any legal obligation to remove your videos.

So you could tell them to see you in court, and go file a small claims to get your money back. One look at the evidence and that judge is going to award you your 650 back.

But if you really just want your 650 back and don't care about sticking it to a lousy business, you'll have to cave to their demands.

You can always put the video back up when you have your money.

never thought the trucks were "undercoated" from the factory. small protection on the frames but not full product. mostly northern and ocean areas benefit from undercoating due to the salt.

If you are mechanically inclined grab an old spray gun, keep a few quarts of "used" oil, and do like I did every October. Spray the underside of the cab, bed, frame, inside the frame (let it sit in the holes for a minute to run down inside for protection), and any other areas you want.

Keep in mind you will have over-spray but it can be cleaned off of windows and will burn off of the exhaust if any gets on.

like others suggested, just take the video down but save it on your computer. It's your video and your are entitled to have it. Make sure it is date/stamped in some way to prove it was right after you brought it home.

When they see the video is down get your refund and hit up another place. Or as someone mentioned give them the chance to "right" their wrong and do a full undercoat job.

That is a very good suggestion. It should be since it was dated when it was uploaded to youtube.

Whenever I have a issue at work with the Chief I work under I always email a copy of my memo to myself that way it time / date stamps when the memo was created. It also gives me another copy to have on file. They can't say that I created the memo at a later date because you can not change the time / date stamp on the email server.
