Tire pressure monitering system. Check the air pressure in all 5 of your tires (yes I said 5 the spare is monitered too)

If all the tires are all aired properly, you will need to set the tire pressure with the button underneath the steering wheel.

I think if one or more of the tires are more than 12 psi off, the light comes on.

im having this issue also...my question is: do you have to take the damn spare tire off to check it? i layed underneath the truck and i didnt see a valve stem sticking out anywhere. all four of my regular tires were about 38-39 psi

Yes. From the factory the valve stem faces up. I'm not sure if you could remove the tire completely and reverse it. I don't see why you couldn't, but I don't know for a fact.
