The same shit everyone else has.
How many of you guys are running Yakima Q tower bases? I came across one local with the correct clips for our trucks for an awesome price.

After doing some research on Yakima's website, I cannot find a weight rating on them.

Ideally, I want to use the rack to haul a 100lb canoe.

I plan on using the rack to support the front half of the canoe while utilizing a "field goal post" to support the rear half like so -

After searching around for a bit, I found one member using this set up, but with a lighter (65lb) canoe.

    Any thoughts?

I highly doubt anyone makes a rack that can't handle 100 lbs and having it split makes it even less I have a 17' alum canoe and no rack and haul it the same way with 0 issues or damage to the truck..
